From the South

The easiest way to reach Glenluce is by the A75(signposted Stranraer) from Dumfries. The journey from Dumfries takes about an hour. Continue on this road to Glenluce. At the Glenluce bypass turn right and continue into the heart of the village. At the Royal Bank of Scotland Building turn right into Church Street, follow that road until it leaves the village, continue over the disused railway bridge and follow the road for about 200 metres. The house is on the right.

From the North

From Glasgow follow the M77 signed Kilmarnock/Stranraer which becomes the A77. Approximately 1 ½ miles after passing through Cairnryan bear left on the A751 signed for A75 and Dumfries. At the junction turn left onto the A75, follow this road for about 6 miles then bear left signposted to Glenluce. At the next fork in the road turn left and continue approx. 1/2 a mile under the viaduct bridge. Immediately past bridge take the turning right, continue up hill until next turning right, take this and you’ll find “Up Yonder” in 1/4 of a mile, the second property on the left.

This house is big, beautiful and remarkably clean! I have never been to a countryside house so clean. I have slight OCD... and had no concerns living here for the week. The pictures do not do it justice on just how big each and every room is! Plenty of space for a large family/friendship group. All essentials provided as well as access to an outdoor shed to store bikes. The owners were more than helpful when we left some things behind. Cannot recommend enough!read more

Had a fantastic stay at Up Yonder! Spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable with a beautiful view of the sea. Would... recommend Galloway Forest for mountain biking, Stairhaven for a sheltered beach and beautiful west coast sunsets, the Cock Inn for pub grub with a view and Castle Kennedy for an outstanding garden (and pizza can!). Thanks so much for letting us enjoy Up Yonderread more

Fantastic big house; loved the two separate lounge areas and the spacious bedrooms and kitchen. We had poor weather but... still thoroughly enjoyed the week at Up-Yonder and travelled all around Dumfries & Galloway as well as taking a day trip to Northern Ireland. Up-Yonder is very conveniently placed for accesssing the ferry at Cairnryan and was one of the reasons we chose to stay here. It was very easy to relax indoors when it was rainy and my only disappointment was that we didn't get to utilise the balcony and patio areas. Beautiful location; it feels as if it's a million miles from anywhere but the Main Street of Glenluce is a five minute walk.read more
